Today, I give you:

Top 10 New Years Resolutions I Know I Will Never Be Able to Keep

10.  Stop buying lip gloss/lipstick/lip stain/lip balm

9.  Stop playing so much Wii (we got 4 new games, people)

8.  Develop a waist like Vera Ellen (measured anywhere from 17 – 21 inches.  Sigh.)

7.  Put an 80s movie reference in every blog post

6.  Remember everyone’s birthday (I’m warning you all now, it’s a resolution I can’t keep!)

5.  Stop drinking so much diet soda

4.  Stop killing house plants (at least I am self-aware)

3.  Eat more kale (if anyone has a recipe to make this veggie delicious, send it my way!)

2.  Post to my blog more than once a day

and the number one New Years Resolution I Know I Will Never Be Able to Keep?

1.  Watch less TV  (Lost is coming back!  Survivor All Stars!  I SURVIVED!!!)

Anyone else have some resolutions you are sure you won’t keep?  They are much more interesting than ones you will.

I see no reason why you should stop buying lip gloss/lipstick/lip stain/lip balm. I love Sephora, myself.

Kale is the worst vegetable on the planet. I have never once eaten it and thought it was good. What is good is baby bok choy. But even by eating that every day, I’ll never look like Vera Ellen, either.

Great list. I guess my resolution that I won’t keep is finally cancel the cable.

But I might actually do that!

I resolved, for 2010, to continue doing many of the things I started in 2009. Maybe I’m complacent?

Not walking by the freshly baked–whatever it happens to be–and pretending it’s my first piece or I’m justifying that I’m just straightening the edge.

Oh no! The tv one really hit home. But Survivor All-Stars is going to be amazing. Survivor really is the best reality show out there. I tried to watch The Bachelor on hulu.com and it is horrific. So maybe my resolution would be to stop watching “bad” tv. But will I be able to keep said resolution? That’s the question!

Have you not tried kale chips?! Kale tossed in olive oil to coat, salt, baked in a single layer on baking sheet at 400 degrees for 10 minutes (they should be crisp, but not all brown — then they have a burnt taste). It is delicious and even kids like it.

No! I haven’t tried them, but this sounds great– and I bet the kids would eat them, too. Thanks for the awesome tip!
