I finally brought the time lapse in from the garden and booted it up to the computer. I have to say, although I’m not impressed with the results, it’s pretty cool. I had a few hiccups along the way, with the camera falling out of position and such. And there are clearly a few mornings where the camera lens gets all fogged up. But, all in all, not a bad first attempt.
I set the camera to take a photo every hour during daylight hours– it turns on when the sun comes up in the morning (neat, huh?) and then I set it to turn off at 6 pm. These photos were taken over 2 weeks, from Feb 8th to today, the 21st. I positioned the camera in my garden where I planted the peas, carrots, radishes, and beets. Mostly, I was trying to capture the pea plants, which are the largest of the plants and the ones most noticably growing.
So, without further ado, here we go:

Beth, you are the best kind of nerd. This is supercool, and you are supercool for doing it. It was fascinating to watch the growth, and to see the sunlight move across the area.
Eva, that’s the best compliment I’ve gotten all year. Thanks!
Dude, that is rad! You are the only person in the world I know who has ever done that. Awesome.
Very cool! Thanks for doing it and for sharing.
