I just saw a fun post over at Young House Love that links to a bunch of interior decorating find-your-style quizzes. Since I’m one of those people who doesn’t really feel like she can pin down a particular style (when asked, I usually say, “Hamptons”), I thought I’d partake. Fun, fun, fun!
The first one is from Ikea. It’s only 9 questions long. It asks you to pick colors and patterns and such, and here’s the thing: most of the time I can’t really decide! There aren’t 3 patterns that jump out at me as being overwhelmingly more appealing than others. The colors are worse. Am I just indecisive? Maybe I have no style. But according to Ikea, I’m Country Classic (that’s 60% country and 40% Scandinavian, for those of you keeping detailed score).

Next up: Sproost, which I’ve never seen before, but it looks like a pretty cool site. However, either this quiz is a little uneven, or I, again, have no style. Or more accurately, multiple styles.
The first time I took it, I got 3 different styles at 33%, 33%, and 34%. But I forgot to get a screen grab. Then I took it again. This time:

Then, I tried to replicate what I did with the first quiz, and I got:
Nantucket is close to Hamptons, right?
I wonder if I do it again, will I get 100% of something else? In the quiz’s (or my?) defense, Cottage Chic was at 33% before and Nantucket Style was 34%.
Then, we go classic with a quiz from Ethan Allen. Verdict?
Ooooh, Estate. That sounds awfully fancy. ”Breezy yet cultivated?” Maybe I don’t know what an estate is.
Finally, there was this quiz. I was a little annoyed that you had to put your name and zip in– we like our privacy over here– but not annoyed enough to stop me. Ah, the things we will do in the name of design and our blogs.
I’m not sure I really understand or agree with this assessment, though.

Clearly, I am influenced by my mid-century-modern-loving sweetheart, because Sproost says I’m 67% Contemporary and 33% Cottage Chic. And Ikea says I’m Modern Original, which evidently is 40% modern, 40% Scandinavian, and 20% country.
