Iron Craft challenge 13 was to make something pet-related. Lucky for me, my sister recently acquired the CUTEST little chihuahua, and I mean little: 2.2 lbs. Literally one kilo even. And apparently, she’s freezing.
So I decided to crochet up a sweater or two for her. I completed one last week and mailed it off to northern California. My sister obliged me with a picture of the sweet girl in her new outfit, although taken on a iPhone so… not the best quality. But I give you:
I know, RIGHT? I even tried out a new crocheted flower technique and put a rose on the back of it. Can you stand the preppiness of the green and pink?
I will try to get a better photo, since I think we’re going to see them this weekend. I also finished another sweater for her, so I’ll try to post that one, too.
For this one, which worked up really, really quickly, I bought a pattern off of Ravelry for about $4. I thought it was worth it, since this pattern is really easy to modify to fit your dog, and it’s super fast. Perfect for a beginning crocheter.
That noise you’re hearing? That’s me going “squeeee”! From the puppy pose to the preppy perfection that is that sweater, this is beyond presh.
I’m also loving the way the sweater flares out in back like a superhero cape, which brings this photo to a whole new level.
