I’m back at Keely’s random thoughts since I have enough random thoughts to share.  Some of them are going to be link love like I’ve seen on so many other sites.

Like this one.  I love these self-portraits.  Did they paint those backgrounds just for this project???

I was at Bed, Bath & Beyond today, buying a new CO2 canister for my beloved Soda Stream.  And I saw this:

Yes, my friends, it’s the Ten Plagues Passover Finger Puppets.  Seriously?  Now, I’m not Jewish, but I think I’ve got a fair amount of experience with Judaism, considering the first non-Jewish wedding I attended was my own (and I attended four weddings before that– but no funeral).  Anyhow, is this how we’re celebrating Passover now, with the finger puppets of the plagues?  If a kid is young enough to enjoy finger puppets, do you really want to explain to him or her about the Death of the Firstborn?  Check out the finger puppet for Boils… that dude is hurting.  And hail?  That’s the best you could do for hail?

The boys decided that they wanted to do a lemonade stand to help raise money for Japan. RD Husband did it with them this weekend, and OMG it could not have been cuter.  I helped with some of the prep, but I stayed home for the actual event, so RD Husband sent me some photos.  Here they are with the poster that the seven year old made:

And in action at their post:

People, they made SEVENTY-ONE DOLLARS.  For an hour’s work!  Granted, lots of people tipped them… one guy actually gave them twenty bucks.  But I also think their marketing tactics helped:

We had our first al fresco meal tonight, since the weather was so nice.  I made roasted asparagus, grilled salmon, and I had just finished some homemade chicken noodle soup, so we had some of that, too.  Here are a few highlights:

This is old, I think, but I kind of love it anyway. I like the Diet Coke one.

We saw that movie Catfish the other night.  Have you seen this thing?  I’m still not sure what to think. Documentary?  Not?  It seemed real until I started reading all the boards about it, and now I don’t know what’s what.

For all you blogging out there, do you put one or two spaces after a period?  Classically trained as I am (*cough, cough*), I am used to two spaces.  I can’t NOT put two spaces.  But I think I’m supposed to use only one.  Thoughts?

That’s all for Tuesday, peeps.  Go play Dungeon Blitz.

Ah, the space thing! I’m trained in the two space method, too, but it seems that Chicago Style (the preferred method of torture, um, I mean style for my discipline) likes the one space. Ugh. It still doesn’t look right to me, but … I’m trying (though not in this post. This is a two-space-post-period post. Harumph!)!

    Also, best marketing EVAR!
